Your question is? I had 2 after my unilateral mastectomy with lymph node dissection. The nurses showed me how to maintain them and what to do at home. I had to measure the fluid in the bulbs at least twice a day, more often if they were full, record the measurements, and take those in when I saw the Surgeon 5 days post op. Even though I had very little drainage she elected to leave them in for 5 more days as she didn't want to have to go back in and reinsert them. Twice later she did have to remove a small seroma using a syringe and needle. Every doctor has their own protocol of how much drainage is too much for how long the drains are left in.
