I will be starting Arimidex and was wondering what is the best time of day to take this medication, my Oncologist says early morning, I would like to hear from someone already taking it.

I have been taking Arimidex for about six months. I find it easier to take in the morning. I have several other daily medications(high blood pressure, cholesterol) that I take daily. I take all meds at the same time. Easier to remember.

I have been on arimadex for over 5 years. I have a lot of foot and leg pain which I thought was a problem with my diabetes. But maybe not. I'm also gaining weight which I also learned today could be the medication. Thanks for my new knowledge. I have stage 4 bc but still fighting. My first bout of bc in 05 I took tamoxifen but had a bad reaction to it . I lost my insurance so didn't go on anything else and it came back in my bones and lung.

I'm on Femara-don't know if side-effects are similar. I've moved mine all over the day and have settled for early morning. When yucky feelings hit, I get up and move around. Meloncholy is my little demon-gone through menopause already so other stuff is minimum. I have to take cholesterol meds at bedtime and I'd rather not load up at night. :-D

I decided to take it at night. This way, I don't feel the strongest side effects because I am sleeping.

I'm taking Arimidex at 7:00 at night. Seems to work best for me.

Taking in morning with no problems for over a year. I try to eat breakfast or something with it. It's just easier for me to remember in the morning.

I take mine in evening so I don't,t feel as many side effects but will be talking to my oncologist about switching as I,m having a lot of joint pain moodiness and am starting to have issues again with afib condition that I had prior to cancer but seems to be getting worse since the hormone therapy

Thanks to all my sisters in this fight for all your suggestions on when to take the Arimidex, took my first pill this morning with my other meds , I am just Leary of the side effects as I had so many during my chemo Taxotere/cytoxan, and just started feeling somewhat normal again.

I took mine in the morning too. If your doc told you to do that there may be a reason for it.
