Mine is below collar bone. And the wire goes up toward the shoulder but not all the way. I'm two moths out and I'm just now able to sleep on that side some of the time. When I do I have pillow between elbows and support head and neck It is tricky and, like Mimi , I sleep surrounded by pillows so I don't move so much.PT suggested if you sleep On back use the pillows under legs and not your head for a while. This helped back and put pressure on puffy bits from my surgery Sweet dreams

It may even get irritated when you type or use the mouse. I had trouble for more than a month. Still get twinges.

I haven't had any issues with mine. At times I've awakened on my stomach but didn't even notice it.

Mine was put in August 2012 in my left arm!! I use one of the small pillows I used after my mastectomy to cushion it. It doesn't hurt and is healed very well, I just don't like feeling it and the way I sleep I can feel the bump. Will be so glad when it comes out!!!

Just think that if you didn't have the silly thing, every time they need blood, pump chemo, etc, they would have to look for a vein. Port maybe a touch uncomfortable, but I was glad for mine, every time I got stuck.

Is port in chest wall? Mine was and I slept on my back to eliminate bumping it.
