The masectomy I had was deep, left me with a deep concaved chest. Over the last few days it has suddenly filled out....up anyone else had this?

Me too but it stayed that way. It never hurts to check with your surgeon as it sounds like swelling to me. -

Do you still have drainage tubes in? If not it could be a seroma which you don't want to mess with as it can become infected. If it is indeed a seroma and you don't have your drainage tubes any longer they can use a needle and syringe and take it off that way. See your surgeon and see what they say.-

I still have the drain in. Its still putting out lots and I wish I knew why.

Seromas can occur anywhere in the body after surgery, they aren't limited to breast surgery. I had a friend who developed quite a large one after gallbladder surgery and ended up in the hospital.

It could be fluid ..... Seroma maybe that's what breast fluid is called ....I had a double mast last year and both my breast areas would fill and become very uncomfortable ... And a breast care nurse would use a needle to draw the fluid out ... The fluid kept coming back for me for the next 4 mths !! ...the fluid is normal and it's the body s Way of healing itself .... But check with your breast care team .... Good luck with everything !!-
